As our readers continue to react to President Jammeh's claim to have found cure for HIV/AIDS, an anonymous
reader wish to opine on the delicate subject…

I just have a little comment about the issue of Yahya Jammeh being able to cure HIV/AIDS. I like to give people the benefit
of the doubt. So I am not going to say that what the President said he can do is a lie. I believe in miracles, and I believe that if
a person does anything with good intentions in the name of God, He will support you and you shall succeed. May be, just
may be, God has given Yaya Jammeh the ability to cure Aids. Miracles happen every day.

It is also true, that there are a lot of false Prophets; Quack Doctors, and people who end up causing more harm than good
simply because they lie about what they can or cannot do. I am sure Jammeh understands why people are skeptical. HIV
patients need their medication. My fear like many is that, people infected with the virus will stop taking their medications
because of the President's claim and that is not only scary but also worrisome.

A word of caution to the President; Please Mr. President, if you can cure this sickness and I am sure you believe in what you
claim, then you also must understand that only people with some kind of mental Disability will actually embarrass themselves
by claiming this to the world without having a proof. Because if it is not true, there will be consequences. You will lose
respect from your supporters, as well as confirm to those who do not support you, that you are definitely not fit to rule our
beloved country.

On the other hand, if you can cure HIV/AIDS Disease, then I am appealing to you to allow doctors from around the world
to test your patients and confirmed that they have the virus/disease before you commence your treatment. These independent
Doctors will pretest your patients and test them after your treatment to confirm that you have in fact found a cure for this
deadly disease. The doctors will then report the results to the Gambian people and the international community. This will give
you and the Gambian nation the pride in finding a cure for HIV/AIDS, a disease that the whole scientific world fails to find a
cure in several decades.

If it turns out The Gambian Head of State can indeed cure HIV/Aids then, he will be regarded as one of greatest amongst
well known people, Louis Pastuer, who helped developed the cure for a lot of diseases, Albert Einstien; Rune Elmqvist
inventor of the Pacemaker, Alexander Flemming discoverer of Penicillin, Felix Hoffman discoverer of Aspirin, Jan Jansky
discoverer of the different Blood types among many others. This will permanently give the President the due respect for life.

The world would then need Yaya, the Gambian man who found a cure for the mysterious HIV/AIDS that will cure millions
around the world. The African continent and its people will no longer have to struggle to pay the very expensive HIV/AIDS
drugs manufactured in the West. Our people will finally have discovered the long awaited knowledge to cure our own
people. What a miracle and break through this would be for our beloved continent.

Once the President's cure is proven by scientist, I suggest that he resign as President and do Gods work. He should then
provide cure for every Gambian who has Aids and then travel the world to eradicate this killer disease. Should the President
indeed found a cure, then he is greater than any President. I am quite sure all the citizens of The Gambia who have never
supported him, and who have no respect for him and how he rules the country, will not only respect him, but will love him.
Am i not right? Off course I know this is my opinion, and dream for Jammeh or anybody to find a cure for this desperately
needed treatment for HIV/AIDS, a disease that is crippling my our continent…
