MI Banoramas Call on Gambian Women to Rise up and take Leadership in Opposition Parties

M I Banoramas

MY CONDEMNMINATION FOR CELEBRATING JULY 22

22 July is the day when all Gambians should come together as one to condemn this day, and observed silence for the lost of so many life and continual siege that impose on us bye the dawn of 22 July 1994.Up to date. After criminal Jammeh’s demise there will be a clause which will be enacted into our constitution to criminalize any form of celebrating 22july within the jurisdiction of our border territories.

There is a vital work to be done, work that cannot wait, work that must be done. My fellow citizen we must unite together and resolved the major decadents that our Nation is facing, to enable us to pave a vibrant and peace full Nation for generations to come, after the demise of criminal Jammeh. Responsibility and freedom brings a powerful Nation. We most redeem our Nation the noble land of the free people.

The Gambia today not the military none the rich neither the poor innocent vulnerable citizen any longer remain safe within the Gambia territory. Our aspiration for peace is the fundamental key pillars for our quest for our economical and political freedom. Criminal Jammeh most be captured death or alive.

I here call on all compassionate citizens of our beloved country The Gambia Our Home Land. Boycott this celebration of military coup.  Which is as atrocious as Hitler’s NAZI massacres, during World War II? CRIMINAL JAMMEH and his Gang of Bandits have committed crime against Humanity.

KUKOI SAMBA SANYANG, you and JAMMEH are both EQUAL CRIMINALS and enemy to our country

I CALL ON GAMBIAN WOMEN TO RISE UP AND TAKE LEADERSHIP POSITION IN OPPOSITION PARTIES

As history tell us many successful revolutions were headed by women, the likes of Rosa park an African American civil right activist led the rebellion against the Montgomery bus segregation laws  which by the time was pioneered by  Jim crows inferior subordinate clause  under the apartheid regime of America.

Liberian president is now a woman salif Johnson. The recent leader of Kazakhstan is a woman who led the redemption movement; she was the former minister of justice. Led his people to redeem their nation from the hand of a dictator. Also the well organised women movement in South Africa in (1955) was the Sophia town’s which protest against the segregation bill pass by the South African apartheid government, call the Bantu Educational bill in 1955 which was segregatory to non white South Africans. Plus Durban women movement from Durban in South Africa. Who’s also protested against the discrimination bill call the Liquor Act pass in 1959?

I see no reason why Gambian women should not be part and parcel of our call to redemption. Sure I urge all Gambia women to stand up fasting their belt and pier is time for revolution. We can not continue to Gamble the legacy of our for fathers which is not only a legacy but the future and the future of many generation to come. Who have done a lot of scarifies that lead to the birth of the new Gambia, smallest but with the strongest economy and social justice in the sub region. Which has enabled one million Gambians today including my self and criminal jammeh. Without those values many are citizens today will never be.

Fellow citizens we most revitalised those lost and broken values. Our glorious nation circular tolerant and well known by our distinctive reputation of our people can not be tarnish like that. Citizens of our belovered Nation only a radical rebellious, up rise against this evil tyrant will be our way out. It is  both our Human and constitutional rights to rally according to the way it has been curtailed by our constitution and take our nation from the hand Tyrant. The only assurance to give existence to our civil right. Which will only exist when we get rid of him. Fellows is possible as it’s never too  late still we can do it. Nothing is impossible.

Fellow politician residing in the Gambia. The illegal incarceration of femi peters and many of our military and police force should not scared any one, he is playing a game scare mongering that he is doing. As we all know FOR THE GAMBIA OUR HOME LAND. As I always says Gambia was nice and peaceful well before the birth of this criminal, he live in a delusional life. Building an infinitive animosity against our people time will tell no doubt about that.

Criminal yahya jammeh is a disgrace to we the Gambian citizen this is the liar, who claim to cure aids which never turn out to be true at all? Parading Gambian citizens in front of the entire world calling them witches and others HIV positive against their will and consent.

I cannot imagine that criminal jammeh and his kangaroo court have sentence our innocent citizens to death. Is time we as Gambian to capture this traitor death or Alive, because he remain our major threat and obstacle for economical and political freedom. I did not recognised the legitimacy of that court and it verdict.

It is still fresh in my memory how the year April 10 2000 student demonstration happen and the brutal murder of our innocent students. And also how copral Dumbuya, Being chased from state house through Albert market in Banjul. Exposing our people to killing exhibition and wild life in the Gambia. Genocide is happening in the Gambia while we let this criminal do whatever he wishes. Where is the military?  My self I was stop by a young paramilitary on the day of the demo. Luckily I was saved by one of the paramilitary, I seniored in school. It was a complete humiliation abuse and torture and murder. People where stripped out of their dignity. I shed tears, for the future of a beautiful land like Gambia. At that moment I promised my self that one day i will fully take part in reshaping the moral credit and values of my mother land.

We should be able to differentiate incitement and executions of our both Human and constitutional right. Take part in rallies and any form of political activist. Is the right of every citizen to arrest him and sent him to The Hague and his crew members to stand on trial for crime against Humanity. It is our inalienable right as citizen of our Nation to work together and gather evidence for the indictment of kukoi samba sayang who slaughtered Gambians as he wishes and the rest of names I mention in my article published in June 8 2009 in the freedom news paper.

Ismail chogan is a patriotic citizen raise your face high, we are all proud of you. We as Gambians we will never ever scum under such a man with burgoos.

Gambia's President Jammeh dissolves cabinet: state media

  • News Item
  • February 3, 2012

ANJUL (Reuters) - Gambian President Yahya Jammeh has dissolved his entire cabinet two months after securing re-election for a new five-year term, state broadcaster GRTS announced on Thursday.

The brief announcement did not say why Jammeh had taken the decision or when the cabinet would be replaced. It said the president had commended his ministers for their patriotism and hard work.

Former military coup leader Jammeh scored a landslide 72 percent victory in November to extend his 17 year-rule over the tiny West African country, which attracts thousands of Western tourists to its white-sand beaches and tropical forests.

The African Union said Jammeh had benefited from a strong media bias and greater financial resources than rivals.

Although he has presided over a period of stability, a number of former allies have been accused of plotting coup bids during his rule.

News Release

Feb. 7 is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

Free HIV testing and public awareness events scheduled in Minnesota

National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NBHAAD) will be held in Minnesota, as across the nation, on Feb. 7 to call attention to the staggering toll HIV/AIDS has had on Black communities across the country.

With the national theme of, "I Am My Brother/Sister's Keeper: Fight HIV/AIDS," local organizers hope to raise awareness and encourage African-Americans and African-born persons to get tested, get educated, get treated and get involved within their communities to halt the spread of this disease.

"We are emphasizing the importance of getting tested for HIV and getting into care if infected," said Peter Carr, manager of the STD and HIV Section, Minnesota Department of Health (MDH). "New studies show that HIV transmission rates can be reduced by 96 percent when infected persons get into care and treatment. As part of this year's observance, local agencies will be offering free HIV testing."

Civil Society Associations-Gambia, a coalition of seven Gambian civil and human rights organizations spread across Europe, the United States and West Africa has been launched after a year of online meetings and dozens of conference calls between founding members. The purpose of CSAG is to challenge the impunity with which the Gambian state has subjected innocent citizens to the most egregious rights abuses, which include extra-judicial executions, murders, tortures, forced disappearances, and the pervasive arrests, detentions and incarcerations. To more effectively execute its responsibilities, a new executive was elected to manage the affairs of the organization for a period of two years.  The new executive comprises: Banka.jpg

i.                    Banka Manneh; Chairman, US

ii.                  Ndey Tapha-Sosseh; Secretary General, Mali

iii.                Yaya Dampha; Treasurer, Sweden

iv.                Abdoulie Jobe; Member, UK

v.                  Alieu Ceesay; Member, Scotland, UK

vi.                Buba Baldeh; Member, Senegal

vii.              Mathew K. Jallow; Member, US Ndey.jpg

Following the election a new executive, and after extensive and exhaustive consultations, CSAG launched a website to facilitate the gathering and dissemination of information in timely manner. Readers will notice that over the past few weeks, CSAG put out press releases and public notices in line with the organization’s commitment to the restoration of the rule of law in The Gambia. So far, CSAG has sought to network with like-minded regional and international rights organizations to more broadly involve the wider international community in the effort to put the spotlight on the atrocities perpetrated by the Gambian regime. CSAG recognizes the difficult challenges confronting the Gambia and, therefore, values the working relationships so far established and continue to establish with other regional and international rights organization.

Succinct Review of the Weekly News; Dr. Janneh's Conviction And More!

Dr. Amadou S Janneh conviction

For once, the cynics proved me wrong. I admit. It was just that given the extraordinary amount of unsubstantiated prosecutorial evidence, I felt that no judge could find grounds on which to convict Dr. Amadou S Janneh. Or so I thought; rather, I hoped. I was holding our hope that at the very minimum; Dr. Janneh would come out this fracas wounded by the blatant abuse of his citizen rights, but still a free man. Dt Janneh.jpg

I was wrong; very wrong. Quite frankly, I was thrown way off guard by the allure of fair-play; charmed by some of the comments and observations Judge Emmanuel Nkea made during the trial. But these turned out to be mere rhetorical flourishes weaved in sadistic deception and delivered with provincial embellishment to project a false sense of fairness. Read more

Was Dr. Janneh acting? Exploring the Scattered Janneh case

  • News Item

By Archam Molengel, Sare Balebeh, The Gambia

Reflections from a Gambian citizen on the recent imprisonment of a former government information minister-Dr. Amadou Scattered Janneh will spend the rest of his life in prison, this, after a Gambian court found him and others guilty of attempting to overthrow the democratically eleceted government of President Yahya Jammeh.

Exploring the Scattered Janneh case

I observed from the onset, how the trial started, reading very seriously the editorials, and the general trends in the news media. I wasn't supposed to be very occupied to miss the court reports about the case when I could not make it at the courts. Somehow, I had started to make up my mind after I allowed myself to be part of a spiritual flight that traverse across the cosmos urging the heart to doing things that are so passionate to itself. That moment, the moment, we, call love, yes or no. If someone can get kicked for speaking one's mind, rest assured, if Amadou Scattered Janneh, (scattered as they call him his native Gunjur) is there, his face will be kicked right on. And here is why? Read more

The 2012 Jammeh Inauguration - Opinion

  • News Item
  • January 25, 2012

By Fakebba j Samateh.

I learned with sadness and dismay that the chief Gambian cheat had given himself another five year term in the office, thus making a fourth five year term. Watching Yahya Jammeh's inauguration on televission would show any sensible thinking Gambian, what the true intentions of this Kanilai Monster are.

1. Jammeh came to power accusing the Jawara administration of staying too long in power thus encouraging rampant corruption and mismanagement of public funds.
2. Jammeh said he hates politics because all politicians are hypocrites for they always lie to people promising what they cannot do.
3.Maybe Gambians either did not know or they keep pretending they don't know. How many of you have ever visited Kanilai? Yesterday Kanilai and today Kanilai are like earth and heaven for Kanilai is turning into a Dubai with Banks and hotels also the president has built a semi stadium now called the cultural square.

President Obama's State of the Union Address 2012

"So it is with America. Each time I look at that flag, I’m reminded that our destiny is stitched together like those fifty stars and those thirteen stripes. No one built this country on their own. This Nation is great because we built it together. This Nation is great because we worked as a team. This Nation is great because we get each other’s backs. And if we hold fast to that truth, in this moment of trial, there is no challenge too great; no mission too hard. As long as we’re joined in common purpose, as long as we maintain our common resolve, our journey moves forward, our future is hopeful, and the state of our Union will always be strong".  Read full text
