Neigh, the Victory!

Yero Jallow; Associate Editor

As I stand on my prayer mat
I could hear aloud the destiny angel
Coming down to mother earth
In rescue for the stolen liberty
To end the times of oppression
As I humbly pray in serene moods
I could hear aloud "Kun fayaa kuun"
From that Lord, most high.

Day after day in times
I could hear aloud the cries
Thundering through sky horizons
Of the media activists
The political activists
And even the ordinary folks
All supplicating in serene moods
As I humbly pray in serene moods.

Again, I looked through a mirror
Just making sure I was looking at my face
In making sure the battle against oppression is real
I recharged my energy battery to full capacity
And loaded my guns and rifles
Ready to guard territorial boundaries
By selflessness and patriotism
For a day that is eminent.

Neigh the victory, out aloud
With a flag flying up
Red, white, blue, white and green
In true redemption
And as it neighs, I pray in serene moods
Without loosing hopes of my grips
On Allah, the most high
Who says "BE!" and that will be.
